Apprentices

Mathison PPHB have always maintained that a local business should be an integral part of the local community and not just a service provider.

As part of that commitment, they have been offering apprenticeships to local school-leavers for over 30 years.

Currently, they have 4 apprentices studying at local colleges on 2 year NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating courses. The apprentices spend 1 day a week at college & 4 days a week out in the field being trained and mentored by the highly skilled engineers.

Mathisons pay apprentices for the whole week, including the day they are at college.

A high percentage of the apprentices have either stayed in full time employment with Mathisons or gone on to be successful and independent plumbing and heating engineers in the local community.
