Terms & Conditions

  

  1. The following Terms and Conditions tell you everything you need to know about the agreement you will enter into once you accept this estimate for MATHISON PPHB Limited to carry out works in your home/property.

 

  1. The price estimated is valid for 30 days, providing that the work can be commenced within 90 days, both taken from date of estimate.  If after this time you contact us we will revise your estimate.

 

  1. Once you have accepted this quotation /estimate MATHISON PPHB Limited undertake to carry out all the work necessary to complete with works described in our quotation subject to the following conditions:

 

  1. MATHISON PPHB Limited will carry out the whole of the works specified in this estimate at the price estimated during normal working hours, any variations or additions requested by you and carried out by MATHISON PPHB Limited including variations, the necessity of which becomes apparent after the work commences, will be subject to an additional charge.  An additional charge may be made if you wish us to work outside our normal working hours, which are 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.  We will need access to your home/property at all times during the works.

 

  1. The estimate price does not include for removing any dangerous waste material such as asbestos, if found when installation taking place. This will be subject to an extra charge.

 

  1. The estimate for length of time for completion of works is our best estimate of the likely timescale prior to commencement; we cannot accept liability for any costs, losses or expense of whatever nature, incurred by you as a result of any delays.

 

  1. If you are a tenant, we require your Landlord’s permission to carry out the works covered in this estimate.

 

  1. All carpets, linoleum and special types of flooring, for example, tongue and grooved, parquet, hardwood, rubber or tiled floors must be removed as required by MATHISON PPHB Limited, and you shall be responsible for their replacement unless detailed in your estimate.

 

  1. The work will be carried out in a neat and proper workmanlike manner, but MATHISON PPHB Limited cannot be held liable for any damage unavoidably caused to decorations, fitting and the like as a result of installing any new equipment as specified in this estimate or removing, replacing or disturbing existing pipework, appliances, tanks, cylinders or other fixtures and fittings.

 

  1. Where MATHISON PPHB Limited connects new equipment to your existing Central Heating system it shall not be liable for any breakdown or poor performance or damage caused to your existing system as a result of faulty pipework or some other defect or malfunction of your central heating system.  MATHISON PPHB Limited cannot accept liability for any deterioration in the performance of the central heating system caused by fluctuations in the water pressure provided by your water supplier.

 

  1. MATHISON PPHB Limited shall have no liability for any failure to perform its obligations under this estimate if it is prevented from doing so by causes beyond its control including, unforeseen circumstances such as problems with the fabric of the building including the roof, industrial disputes, strikes, lock-outs, fire, accident or war. 

 

  1. Your order is accepted subject to the condition that you are responsible for ensuring that there is an adequate gas supply to the dwelling prior to commencement of the work.

 

  1. To complete the works as quickly as possible, MATHISON PPHB Limited may need to use Sub-Contractors, each Sub-Contractor is approved by MATHISON PPHB Limited to ensure high standards, and for your security all Contractors carry identity cards.

 

  1. The estimate price shall be due and payable in full on completion of the works.

 

  1. This estimate cannot be varied, except in writing by MATHISON PPHB Limited.

 

  1. Particular attention should be made to adequate Cross-Bonding with regard to Water and Gas pipe work.  This is an electrical requirement and no allowance is made in our estimate for these items.

 

  1. All gas pipework must be earthed for which the client is responsible. MATHISON PPHB Limited can advise any additional costs involved in order to comply with electrical regulations.

 

  1. The Goods and Materials shall at all times be the exclusive property of MATHISON PPHB Limited until full and final settlement of Account.

 

  1. The gas service feeding your current gas appliance may be deemed inadequate for the new appliance being installed. If this is the case, we will advise you of works and costs to carry out these works as per gas codes of practice.

 

  1. Personal contact information provided is to be securely held by Mathison PPHB Ltd and solely used by our employees and/or subcontractors for the purpose of carrying out these and any future works.

 

  1. Company and Employee information is strictly confidential and is not to be shared with any other parties.

 

  1. Mathison PPHB Ltd will only share your information with third parties by way of processing product/works warranties including but not limited to regulatory/governing bodies.
